The NZBCA is a voluntary organisation responsible for the licensing, training and development of Amateur Boxing Coaches in New Zealand. It is affiliated to Boxing NZ and is aligned to SportNZ guidelines and standards.

Welcome to Our Website

Welcome to the New Zealand Boxing Coaches Association (NZBCA) website. The site is designed primarily to provide resources and information for our members and potential members.

The NZBCA is the voluntary body responsible for licensing, training and developing amateur boxing coaches in New Zealand on behalf of the National Body – Boxing NZ.

NZBCA aligns itself to the SportNZ defined guidelines and standards for sports in NZ.

We will endeavour to keep it up to date with news and information relevant to our members and others interested in the sport of boxing.

We welcome any feedback on the site, and any enquiries as to how to join the ranks of the many active boxing coaches scattered throughout New Zealand keeping the historic sport of boxing alive and well in Aotearoa.

News

The NZBCA have the following Level 1 and level 2 coaching course coming up.

Saturday 27th January (approx 9am - 5pm) - Sunday 28th January 2024 (approx 9am - 3pm)
The course will be held at the Auckland Boxing Association, 1 Ngahura Street, Eden Terrace, Auckland 1021

Course fees is $100 per coach and will need to be paid prior to attending the course

Coaches wishing to attend the course need to be financial members of the NZBCA and need to register by email to matty@inspire.net.nz

Coaches attending will need to bring the following with them to the course:

  • A pair of boxing gloves
  • A pair of focus mitts
  • Pen and paper.

Please note the following:
The course is a two day course.
To attend a level 1 course, a year's probationary must be completed.
To attend a level 2 course, 2 years as an active level 1 coach must be completed.
